Information for Participants

LOCKERS

DUE TO CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS ONLY 1 ENTRANT WILL BE ABLE TO SLEEP IN EACH LOCKER. BELOW WILL APPLY IF RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED PRIOR TO THE EVENT

Lockers (1.5X1.8M) are automatically provided for all entrants. Two entrants will share a locker. For specific locker requests please complete the locker request section of the entry form.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT A GROUND SHEET, BED AND/OR MATTRESS AND WARM BEDDING ARE PROVIDED BY EXHIBITORS.

PARENTS / GUARDIANS / TEACHERS

The committee requests that parents especially of younger children, give consideration to "living-in" at the Showground for the duration of the Expo. Cost is $77 per person to cover the cost of meals.

PARENT HELP WITH SUPERVISION, PARTICULARLY DURING THE EVENINGS AND AT NIGHTTIME WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Parents are accommodated in general sleeping areas however lockers may be utilised if required (depending on availability)

STOCK ENTRY TO SHOWGROUND

Due to safety reasons, the RA&HS of SA Inc. will erect large barriers, and all cattle must be unloaded within the barriers. No exceptions. Trucks, trailers, horse floats are to line-up outside the Beef Cattle Pavilion.
Entry will be via the Leader Street Entrance from 12 noon until 4pm Monday 12th July (committee excluded). Please notify your carrier.

No animals will be unloaded until this time.

INTERSTATE EXHIBITORS

You are welcome to stay overnight on the 15th July, following the completion of the Expo, if desired. You will however, be required to depart by 7:00am on Friday morning, to allow the sheds to be cleaned.

SETTING UP - SUNDAY 11th JULY

Exhibitors, families and friends are reminded of the enormous task undertaken by a small group of Committee members and helpers each year to set up judging arena and surrounds, compile satchels for entrants, and assist with general preparations for the Expo.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

CLEAN -UP THURSDAY 15th JULY

All entrants are expected to ensure that their cattle stall, loft above cattle, and lockers are left clean and tidy. ALL sawdust is to be placed in appropriate bins. Rubbish should be put in bins. Senior entrants are requested to assist the Committee with the shed and arena clean up prior to their departure.

 

Please note that no competitor is to leave the grounds unless official permission has been granted by the President or Co-ordinator.
